Bakery & Grocery · Los Angeles
Built on Temple St,
baked for the
neighborhood.
Artisan breads, fresh pastries, and thoughtfully sourced pantry essentials — made daily and kept simple.
About
A corner of Los Angeles
that smells like bread.
Temple Grounds opened its doors on West Temple Street with a simple idea: bake good bread, stock honest groceries, and be a real part of this neighborhood. No pretense. No complicated menus. Just food that tastes like it was made by someone who lives here too.
Every morning we start before sunrise — dough, ovens, the rhythm of a working kitchen. Our breads are mixed, shaped, and baked in small batches. Our grocery shelves carry things we'd actually keep in our own pantry. That's the standard.
What We Offer
From our kitchen
and our shelves.
Artisan Bread
Sourdough, ciabatta, focaccia, and seasonal loaves — baked fresh every morning using traditional methods and locally milled flour.
Pastries & Bakes
Butter croissants, danish, tarts, and sweet breads — made from scratch daily. Something new arrives every week.
Pantry & Grocery
Thoughtfully sourced olive oils, vinegars, grains, spices, and everyday essentials — the kind of things we choose for our own kitchens.
Baked daily
Nothing sits overnight. Our bread and pastries are made each morning and sold through the day — when it's gone, it's gone.
Local first
We source from LA-area mills, dairies, and farms whenever possible. What's in our oven and on our shelves reflects this city.
No shortcuts
Long ferments, real butter, proper technique. We don't cut corners because the shortcut never tastes as good.
Neighborhood built
Temple Grounds is part of this block. Regulars know us, our kids grew up here, and we plan to keep showing up.
